If I could rate this book out of 5 stars I would rate this with 5 stars.
How would you handle being able to see ghosts and spirits? Would you be able to keep a level head about it? Yakumo can; he sees these types of things everyday. He is a college student who is also a detective who seeks to help these spirits and ghosts. This book is just really amazing to see how this person has been living unafraid all his life and moved on to help release them from their bonds to the earth. This book is full of mystery, romance and drama and had me hooked from the beginning. The book kind of reminds me of a show I saw where they also tried to help spirits.
Everyone disappears in “GONE.” This book was just like a whole different world because there are no adults to help, just teens and toddlers. There is nothing to do but fight. This book reminds me of this movie called “The Glass House” because their uncle and parents died and there was no one there for them. This book stands out because it was interesting form the start to the end. This book would make you want to read more. I would give this book a 5 out of 5 stars.
How would you feel if the person you loved rejected your proposal and ran to get away from you and everything? Well, in “Small-Town Brides,” when her neighbor proposes a “practical” marriage, romantic Rene Mitchell throws the ring in his face. Fleeing Texas for Montana, Rene rides with trucker Clay Preston. Clay doesn’t believe in romance….until Rene changes his mind.
Have you ever went a week without your mother? This book is about a ten-year-old boy who is motherless and on the run. But he’s on a mission. His mother never told him who his father was. The thing that makes “Bud, Not Buddy” stand out is how the boy traveled by himself. You wouldn’t expect this book to be about a boy traveling so many places by himself. I would give “Bud, Not Buddy” 5 out of 5 stars. You should read this book if you like emotional things.
What could go wrong if you could rent someone else body and live for eternity?A sixteen year-old has to give up her body to support her sick brother. This book can be compared to “Avatar” the movie. What makes this book unique is that people can rent younger people’s body. This book starts out really confusing, but after you start reading it, all the pieces come together. We would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. You should read this book if you like science-fiction and things from the future.
Living in the inland Florida Projects with his abusive mother, he tries unsuccessfully to fit in at his predominantly white school, while struggling to maintain even a thread of a relationship with his drug-addicted father. Jayson Porter is dying in the inside of the physical abuse caused by his mother. His mother shows TOUGH love, and she doesn’t want him to do WRONG. Jayson wants to get out of the situation, or he has another option….”The Death of Jayson Porter” reminds me of “Woman Thou Art Loosed” because both are about abuse. The thing that makes “The Death of Jayson Porter” unique is that Jayson never backed down from his abuse, and that made him stronger every day. I thought “The Death of Jayson Porter” started out interesting, because the author starts by describing his life. I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars. You should read this book if you like realistic fiction or urban fiction books.
