A Child Called “It” by Dave Pelzer

Being abused is never easy. What are your thoughts about abandoned and abused children? A Child Called “It”, is about a boy who is nothing but abused and abandoned by his drunken mother. His mother cares nothing about him. All he wants is to be loved and cared for. and free of his mother’s presence forever. This book reminds me of Annie. It reminds me of Annie because they are both innocent little children who just want a mothers love without having to go through all the hardships and torture of their owners. This book is unique because it is so raw. I’ve never read a book that’s so raw and in the flesh. The whole time I read the book i felt as if I were physically in the story. The book starts off very interesting. It will have you all in from beginning to end. I rate this book 5 stars out of 5. You should read this book if you like Realistic Fiction and or true story.

We Beat The Street is a quote from three doctors who were trying to fulfill  their dreams. This book is about three doctors living in the ghetto trying to fulfill their dreams and the make it. This book reminds me of Boyz ‘N’ The Hood & Mental 2 Society because it’s about surviving in the streets. The men’s account of their childhood, their families and the street life that threatened to swallow them up. This is unique because I can relate to them. My advice is be smart but play dumb in the street life.
