Do you think you know the story of “The Wizard of Oz”? Guess again, cause this will take you far from Kansas. This story takes place in the Land of Oz. Where you learn what happened before Dorothy dropped in. You’ll learn what made a green girl so ‘Wicked’. There is no other book like Wicked. It is it’s own type of genre. It’s own type of book. The book is not all flimsy and happy. It’s dark and captivating. It’s philosophical and enchanting. It’s has a special pace and special style that will take you into what life is like in Oz. It does start out slow, It has an odd pace. Just have patience and read it whenever you have a hunger for it. Don’t try to force yourself to read more than you want. The anticipation is worth it. I give Wicked 5 out of 5 stars. You should read it if you like backstories.

Would you want to kill superheroes? A boy named David Charlestone wants revenge on Steelheart. David is looking to get help from a group called The Reckoners. They are a shadowy group of rebels bent on maintaining justice. The Reckoners might even need Davids help to. This book is unique in the way that it presents the conflict of the story. Some ways to deal with them with by presenting weaknesses. It has some slow parts and can be very intriguing stay with the book. My rating for this book would be a 4/5 stars.

The Mystical land of Prythian is a place where no mortal can step foot without being stuck there forever, at the mercy of the ruthless faeries. Feyre is a poor human girl who is the sole supporter of herself, her two sisters, and her crippled father. She hunts for food since they don’t have money to buy it, and in winter food is scarce. But her whole life changes when she kills a wolf who turns out to be a faerie in disguise and one of the elite high fae come to take her to Prythian as punishment for her crimes. Most YA books with female protagonists, the main character spends half the time fawning over some hot guy and I feel like that really takes away from the character. And. while there is romance, Feyre isn’t much like her fellow female protagonists. She can handle herself and knows when to say no and when to get out of bad relationships. At first the book seems pretty cheesy and melodramatic about seemingly stupid things, but as you read the book and get further into the story, things start to make more sense and it’s not as cheesy and cringy. I would give A Court of Thorns and Roses 4.5 out of 5 stars. You should read this book if you like romance or Sci-Fi books.

Have you ever wondered what I’d be like to see yourself in and as someone else? Confused? So was Sasha Lawson, awakening in a parallel universe held hostage by her dates analog. Sasha Lawson has always had an extraordinary imagination that started when her grandfather would tell her stories of princesses in parallel universes that looked just like her. She also had an ordinary life, that is until Grant came, and then so did Thomas. But Thomas and Grant are one in the same. Thomas came from a parallel universe to take her back with him so she could pretend to be the princess of that world while the army there tried to free her from her captors who had taken to cause riot in their world. She must pretend to be the princess, her analog, or doppelganger, to keep their nations at peace. This book reminds me of A Wrinkle In Time. They are closely like each other because the both are kind of futuristic and fantasy based. These books closely compare to each other. What makes this book unique is it talks about parallel universes and a opposite but the same world of Earth. I didn’t know that the chapters that are italicized are really Sasha seeing through her analogs eyes. I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars rating. It’s awesome

Revenge is a dish best served cold. That’s how the main character of this book felt when he sought revenge on his wife’s murderer. When a mans wife is murdered for trying to do the right thing he does everything he can to make her murderer pay for what he did. The thing that makes this book different is the way that this man got his revenge, and his determination, and his skills that he acquired. The book may start out a little slow, but once you get into the story line you’ll be very interested. I would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. You should read this book if you like thrillers and drama.

What could go wrong if you could rent someone else body and live for eternity?A sixteen year-old has to give up her body to support her sick brother. This book can be compared to “Avatar” the movie. What makes this book unique is that people can rent younger people’s body. This book starts out really confusing, but after you start reading it, all the pieces come together. We would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. You should read this book if you like science-fiction and things from the future.

Have you ever feel like an outcast, weirdo, or misfit? Darren Shan, a young boy in love with spiders, lives a normal life. He and friends discover a secret illegal freak show is coming to their town so they get 2 tickets but there are 4 friends. They take a draw…but who gets the tickets? “Goosebumps” reminds me of this story because a child has to endure some traumatic experiences and learn from it. This book is unique because of its take on vampires and how they turn others into vampires. They show a whole other side to the dark, evil, satanic monster known as a vampire. This book is a good story because if you like vampires or freak shows this could be a great book for you. I would give this book a 5 out of 5.
